Improve your Smile
At Gateway Dental Health we are passionate about helping people achieve the smile they have always wanted and deserve.
Here are just a few of the ways we can help you improve your smile:
Teeth Whitening
Imagine having a beautiful white smile for your next big event or job interview. White teeth on any occasion can be a real confidence booster!
Whitening is the process in which bleaching gels are used to draw stains out of your teeth. It can be performed on a single tooth or more commonly, on multiple teeth in both arches. It is usually done in the dental chair in a single 2 hour visit, or at home by yourself using custom trays made specifically for your mouth.
Prior to tooth whitening, a full examination is required because whitening is only recommended for healthy teeth. Whitening gels contain Hydrogen Peroxide or Carbamide Peroxide which can have adverse effects on teeth with existing damage from decay or other conditions. Furthermore, everyone's teeth are unique, so results do vary and not everyone's teeth are suitable for it.
If you're not sure, don't risk it! Give us a call or come in and have a chat. When managed by a qualified dental professional, whitening is a safe and predicable procedure. Dr Richard Chee and his team are experienced in tooth whitening and are happy to fully discuss all aspects of it.

Composite resin veneers
Composite material is composed of specialised dental plastic resin and micro-filler particles. Composite veneers can be layered directly onto your teeth in a single visit, and can dramatically improve the shape, size and colour of a single tooth or multiple teeth.
Composite resin veneers are generally more economical then porcelain, but are not as strong or durable and are more susceptible to chipping or staining. Veneers made of composite material are easily repaired though, which can be done every few years as required.
Initial Comprehensive examination:
- Assessment of tooth health, gum and bone health, and occlusion (how the teeth come together when you bite).
Item numbers: 011, 061, 022x2
$181.00
Single Composite Veneer: $400 per tooth (includes 1 appointment for preparation and placement)
2nd review appointment if required: No charge
Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are often one of the best and strongest options for improving a smile. They involve placing a thin yet extremely strong sheet of dental ceramic over the outer surfaces of your teeth. Each individual veneer is made to exacting standards in a specialized dental laboratory. By working together with you and the lab technicians, we aim to build a you great smile that is comfortable, safe, and lasts.
Veneers can only be placed on strong, healthy teeth and on teeth in the correct position. If teeth are heavily damaged or have been restored in the past, crowning the teeth may be the best option to protect and strengthen teeth that have a weaker foundation.
Veneers are a good option for yellowed or heavily stained teeth that don't respond to whitening. When preparing your teeth and ordering your veneers, we work with you and the laboratory to choose the colour, shape and size of your teeth. Since dental veneers can change not only the look but the colour of your smile, veneers are best done after a round of professional whitening.
Questions to ask before considering dental veneers:
Are my teeth healthy?
Like all things, you want to make sure you're building a great smile on a solid and healthy foundation. Come see us for a full examination and assessment of your teeth.
Are my teeth significantly out of position?
If teeth are too far out of alignment, then orthodontics first may be appropriate before going ahead with Porcelain Veneers. Veneers can make a fairly straight to mildly-crooked smile look fantastic, but they won't move a tooth that is too far out of place to a brand new position.
How much do they cost?
Porcelain veneers can vary in cost, depending on the materials used, the original colour of the teeth and the situation with the surrounding gums and bone. Please find below an estimate to the costs, however we will always give you a personalised treatment plan with a quote after your comprehensive examination.
